The Alabama Gulf Coast is closer than you think!
If driving from Atlanta, Chattanooga, Memphis, Nashville,
or Houston, you can get here in less than a day. If
you live in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Birmingham,
Montgomery or Jackson, you can be here
in a few hours.
Once you hop off I-65, I-10 or Highway 98, the Gulf Shores Parkway
and Foley
Beach Express make it easy to cruise straight down to the beach.
For detailed directions, or to check the distance from where you live,
take a look at my
mileage
chart. Or, check out these local & regional
maps.
By Air
If you prefer flying, you're in luck. Most major airlines service
our area through nearby Mobile (AL)
and Pensacola (FL) airports. Direct flights are available from
select
cities. Both
regional
airports are about an hour's drive. So, once
you land,
you'll most likely want to rent a car. A
convertible, maybe? Feel the warm breezes blowing through you hair as
you get closer and closer to our emerald green waters and white sand
beaches!
By Sea
Arriving by sea is easy, too. Travel the Intracoastal Waterway to
the Gulf Coast. The Tennessee-Tombigbee links the Intracoastal Waterway
to several river ports in the Midwest. See
area marinas for
more information.
